This remote fiord is located to the north of the Arctic Circle in the great island of Baffin, Canada. And thus were Ingrid and Jose Manuel: at night, in one it tends and sleeping when the polar bear approached. But the one was not this great carnivore that woke up to them, but the insistent barks of “Blacky”, the dog that had left a Inuit friend them of the small population of Kanngiqtugaapik. Leaving quickly the coats to sleep, they were rushed to the outside to see what it happened. And there it was. Unemployed. Immovable. Watching fixedly at both human and the dog.
But it was not moment to be without moving. Jose Manuel took hold rifle that took to protect itself of a possible attack, and to the sound to load a cartridge in the firing chamber the bear, luckyly for all, escaped running towards the depth of the fiord…
